Matthew Woodson

According to his bio on THUMBTACK PRESS:

Matthew Woodson was born and raised in the pit of snakes known as the rural Southern Midwest. After graduating from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in early 2006, he has been working as a full-time illustrator ever since. He still lives in Chicago, sharing a one-bedroom apartment that resembles more a natural history museum than a living space with a snaggletoothed greyhound and more houseplants then one person can reasonably tend to.
His client list includes Bon Appetit Magazine, ESPN, The Folio Society, Image Comics, Ladies Home Journal, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Nike, Penthouse Magazine, Perry Ellis, Type Records, Ubisoft, Vertigo Comics, and continues to grow by the week.
In his work he hopes to celebrate his obsessions of both human psychology and natural history, using archaic drawing and printing techniques and tools to describe a modern world.
In his spare time Matthew enjoys black licorice, pre-war folk and blues records, chain-smoking, falling asleep while reading, and baths. He is unreasonably afraid of escalators, toenails, and Santa Claus.
