Surround Sound

Here's a print ad campaign for the Berliner Philharmoniker orchestra that really gets into the music.

Under the art direction of Bjorn Ewers of ad agency Scholz and Friends Berlinphotographers Mierswa & Kluska used a macro lens to shoot inside the instruments.  Suddenly, a pipe organ becomes a gleaming cathedral and a violin, a vast empty theatre.

Forcing the point of view to an extreme, but effective solution, these beautiful images give us a whole new way to appreciate music.

  1. What beautiful architecture and photography! Oh, and the slab serif typeface is nice too.
