A Penny Saved...

Fine art painter Jacqueline Lou Skaggs, has created an interesting series of oil paintings on found, discarded pennies.  She has this to say about these small works-

"Initially, these coins were going to be spent- nestled with other coins in an exchange of goods.  Or tossed back to the sidewalks from whence they came.  However, these works remain hoarded as art rather than currency or discarded, valueless copper.  They pay homage to...the Dutch oils on copper from the 17th century. "
