Twenty-first Century Bosch

In the late 15th century, Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch  used fantasy imagery to illustrate religious themes, giving us such wonderful paintings as his famous tryptich; The Garden of Earthly Delights.





Today, artist/illustrator Joe Fenton makes large scale drawings using his own fantasy imagery.  The result is a surrealistic blend of anthropomorphic creatures, plants, machinery and decorative elements...













Fenton has illustrated several childrens' books and is is currently exploring three-dimensional work:
